PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR DEBRIS FROM FIREWORKS CELEBRATIONS July 11, 2009
Posted by neubach7 in Announcements.trackback

It was a beautiful night to celebrate, and many of us truly enjoyed the fireworks that took place in our South Park; but unfortunately we have a downside to the event, and that is the debris that littered our park in the aftermath.
Residents whose property borders the park had to pick up litter from those who were responsible for the mess. Debris included beer bottles, soda cans, plastic cups, firework containers, bottle rocket sticks, paper wrappers, cardboard, even live rounds were found in the park! As children, our parents taught us to clean up after ourselves. What happened to that principle?
A vehicle pulled onto the park property for the activity, which is strictly prohibited.
It should be noted, Brookside Village Homes Association cannot afford to hire people to clean up messes created by those individuals who mistreat our park areas. As a homeowner association, we do not sanction the fireworks activity; nor will we be responsible for the actions of those who mistreat our park areas. We will hold those at fault accountable for any damage, injury or cleanup from this type of activity.
It is up to those residents that fire this stuff off to clean it up! If they do not, we will find out who is responsible, and we will charge them to clean it up, or call the Police to report the incidents.
Don’t make it an issue next year! Enjoy the holiday and when you CREATE a mess, CLEAN IT UP!
