Join the Easter Bunny and your neighbors on Saturday, March 30, in the South Park. The event goes fast, and will kick off at 2:00 p.m. sharp! Children up to age 10 are encouraged to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to ensure the opportunity for participation, and to bring a basket or bag for the prizes they find in their eggs. It’s sure to be an “egg-citing” time for all!

Dues notices are ALWAYS sent out in January and are ALWAYS due by the end of March. Not receiving an invoice is not an excuse to not pay your dues—you can call the Board at (734) 448-1312 to request another invoice. Pay your dues before the March 31 deadline, and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Mail your check ASAP or pay online! On a positive note, the Board would like to sincerely thank those residents who look for the annual dues notice and send in their dues before the March 31 deadline. Your proactive response helps keep our neighborhood running and saves our volunteer Treasurer the added work of sending you a late notice!

When raking and bagging leaves, please be aware of any storm drains in front of your house. Clearing them will help prevent blockages that become ice hazards in the streets during cold weather. Do not blow or rake leaves into the streets, for the same reason. Also, please take a few minutes to clear the leaves away from your own gutters and drain areas to prevent ice blockage. Please avoid placing leaves in creeks or waterways, as it will build up and create a problem with water flow. ALSO, our subdivision common areas and easements are not to be used for dumping your leaves, grass clippings, or garbage. GFL will no longer be collecting yard waste on Saturday. Yard waste and garbage can be set out at the curb for pickup every week on Thursday mornings through December 14. Thank you for helping to keep our neighborhood WELL MAINTAINED!

Please gather at the South Park bridge on Saturday, May 6, 10:00 am–12:00 pm, to help clean up tree debris and trash. Please bring garden tools such as clippers, rakes, or shovels to help with the cleanup. This is not a project that a few regular Board members can do alone — we need subdivision-wide participation to make this work! Your help throughout the year in keeping our creek and parks clean is very much appreciated!

Brookside’s Spring Sub-Wide Garage Sale will run from Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, May 21. The sale will be advertised with entranceway signs. Signs are allowed within the subdivision in front of the home. Good luck with your sale and/or your shopping!

Brookside Village residents: 2023 annual Association dues are due by March 31. Invoices were emailed and paper copies sent in January. If you had previously provided your email address to the HOA, check your email for a message from brooksideaccounting@yahoo.com. If you did not receive—or lost—your invoice, please send a message ASAP to brooksideaccounting@yahoo.com. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

SANTA IS COMING THROUGH BROOKSIDE ON TUES EVENING 12/13! December 12, 2022

Canton Leisure Services, in conjunction with Canton Public Safety, will be bringing Santa through Brookside the evening of Tuesday, December 13 at approximately 6:45 p.m. The anticipated route (see map) will have Santa entering the subdivision on Brookdale Drive, circling Dorchester circle, across Woodale Way to Foothill Drive, Scottsdale and Burlington to Deepwood, and taking Georgetown to Coronation Road, finally exiting the subdivision via Meadowlake Road onto Cherry Hill. This is a drive through event, Santa will be riding in the fire truck escorted by police cars. He will not exit the truck but will greet onlookers as they line the streets and wave. The emergency vehicles will have their emergency lights on and may use their sirens as Santa rides by and sings Christmas carols. Please spread the word and we look forward to seeing all of the excited faces tomorrow evening!
