2017 CREEK CLEANUP IS APRIL 29 April 11, 2017

DATE CORRECTION! (Our apologies: date of May 6 in The Brookside Bugle was incorrect.)

Please gather at the South Park bridge (the South Park is across from the intersection of Georgetown and Cheviot) at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., April 29, to help clean up tree debris and trash. Please bring garden tools such as clippers, rakes, or shovels to help with the cleanup. Along with keeping our parks clean, we need to pick up the garbage and clear out the branches along the creek to prevent flooding and to allow the water to flow through without obstruction.

This is not a project that a few regular Board members can do alone — we need subdivision-wide participation to make this work! Last year, of all the people that came to help during the cleanup, just 5 families out of 600 homes were from Brookside Village subdivision — 18 kids and parents from Cub Scout Pack 855 made up the rest of the group!!! Wow! Just think how much more could have been done with more resident participation… Your help through-out the year in keeping our creek and parks clean is very much appreciated!
